LAPOINTE presents a women’s ready-to-wear collection that is exclusively designed and manufactured in New York City. The collection, named after the designer, features striking and sophisticated pieces characterized by a signature monochromatic style. Noteworthy offerings include lavish outerwear, premium knitwear, and contemporary separates.
We are currently seeking a motivated intern eager to deepen their understanding of both Development and Production processes. This opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience across various aspects of the industry including fabric development, fit analysis, technical pack creation, factory liaison activities, sourcing materials, and effective organizational practices.
Position Requirements
- Previous internship experience is preferred
- Excellent organizational abilities
- A positive mindset
- Proficiency in pattern making along with hand sewing and machine sewing skills
- A commitment to working at least two days per week until the semester concludes
- Proof of vaccination is mandatory
Main Responsibilities
- Support simultaneous Production & Development processes
- Create cut tickets, source fabric samples, and assist in factory launches for both departments
- Participate in quality assurance checks at production facilities for ongoing projects
- Aid in packaging strategies and shipping logistics related to Production tasks
- Liaise effectively with factories while running errands around Midtown as needed
< li > Conduct searches for fabrics,, trims,, notions,, etc., throughout the Midtown area < li >
< li > Help maintain organized records regarding seasonal binders across teams < li >
< li > Prepare fittings setups & manage “fit kits” efficiently < li >
< li > Assist with various hand-sewing tasks including embroidery work or minor fabric repairs < li >

cleanliness/proper care demonstration(s) between Production/Development/Sales/Public Relations groups
Assist with studio organization efforts.
