Dodge has unveiled exciting details alongside pricing for its eagerly awaited 2024 electric muscle car, the Charger Daytona.
The subsidiary of Stellantis announced that two models—the Daytona R/T and Daytona Scat Pack—will be arriving in showrooms by late 2023.
“The era of futuristic performance kicks off with our two-model lineup: the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona two-door series embodies everything we stand for—looks, driving experience, sounds, and sensations that are unmistakably Dodge,” stated Matt McAlear, CEO of Dodge brand.
The entry-level R/T model boasts an impressive output of 420 horsepower starting at $59,595. The top-tier Scat Pack will deliver an astonishing 670 horsepower along with a higher starting price tag of $73,190.
Both electric variants will come equipped with a substantial battery capacity measured at 100.5 kWh. Features such as all-wheel drive as standard and mechanical limited-slip differential enhance handling capabilities across all options available.
The Dayton R/T is projected to achieve up to 317 miles on one charge while its more powerful counterpart should manage about 260 miles before needing another boost from electric chargers. Each version is designed to rapidly charge from as low as twenty percent up to eighty percent in less than thirty minutes using compatible fast-charging stations.
A standout feature across all variants includes Dodge’s innovative Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust setup aimed at simulating engine noise meticulously crafted through advanced technology rather than genuine combustion engines.
This pioneering artificial sound system transcends typical audio enhancements currently found in most vehicles; it utilizes tubing chambers combined with an impressive six hundred-watt amplifier synchronized precisely to produce auditory experiences similar to classic V8 engines while responding dynamically based upon throttle input or selected driving mode according to regulatory claims made by manufacturer representatives during press disclosures.
Select premium features exclusive only within higher-tier options like Scat Packs include high-performance brake systems composed entirely by Brembo featuring six-piston front brakes alongside four-piston rear versions paired flawlessly with specialized adaptive suspension technologies enhancing drivability over racetracks & drag strips alike!
