At the Snapdragon Summit 2024, Qualcomm unveiled its latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, prompting several smartphone manufacturers to announce that their forthcoming flagship models will utilize this powerful mobile platform. TechRadar was invited to Hawaii for the event, where we received updates on these exciting developments.
During the summit, both Xiaomi and Honor executives joined Qualcomm’s CEO Cristiano Amon on stage to reveal that their respective devices—the Xiaomi 15 and Honor Magic 7 series—are set to launch this month, likely in China, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Asus also confirmed that its upcoming ROG Phone 9 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Additionally, Samsung’s mobile chief TM Roh attended the summit to emphasize his company’s ongoing collaboration with Qualcomm. While he did not specifically mention the Galaxy S25 series, it is highly anticipated that Samsung’s top-tier smartphones in 2025 will incorporate this new chipset (note: this is not financial advice).
