‘Shark Tank’ celebrity Kevin O’Leary postulated that Elon Musk embodies traits similar to those of a superhero—specifically likening him to the fictional figure of Batman.
“I consider him a modern-day Bruce Wayne,” asserted O’Leary during his appearance on Fox News’ ‘The Big Money Show’. He expressed admiration for Musk’s approach and influence.
“To be candid, I am an enormous supporter of Elon Musk. It’s worth mentioning my son is employed with him and thoroughly enjoys his position at Tesla,” he continued during their discussion.
O’Lear suggested that if Musk were to enter governmental roles, it “would be beneficial for every American citizen.” He elaborated on this thought by stating, “Musk is straightforward and transparent with remarkable execution skills. You may not appreciate his style or persona, but his accomplishments speak volumes.”
“If we had more individuals like Elon in our government, perhaps our nation wouldn’t be facing such division today,” added O’Leary thoughtfully.
Musk’s Reluctance Towards Government Roles
Musk has previously indicated skepticism toward political involvement. In response to a report from The Wall Street Journal about potential discussions regarding a role under future Trump administration plans in May, he stated:
"There’s been no discourse about any position being offered to me should Trump secure another term as president,” which he shared through an tweet.
Nevertheless, during an online interaction with Donald Trump recently following recent elections slated for 2024, he introduced the notion of participating on a potential commission focused on enhancing government efficiency if re-elected:
"Establishing such a commission would ensure taxpayers see their contributions utilized effectively—I’d gladly assist with such initiatives,” remarked musk passionately.
The Contrast between Perspectives: Cuban vs. O’Leary
This latest endorsement from O’Leary aligns with prior accolades he’s shared about the visionary leader behind Tesla and SpaceX projects. “Consider how significantly he’s transformed various sectors including automotive technology and space travel—should we truly condemn someone who has pioneered these advancements?” defended him back in November 2021 while appearing on ‘Real Time with Bill Maher.’”
Cuban’s Opinion Diverges Significantly from That of His Co-Star
In sharp contrast stands Mark Cuban—a co-star alongside both men within Shark Tank—as he openly supports Vice President Kamala Harris over Trump’s administration approach fueled by corporate interests:
“It’s evident they aim for Trump merely as CEO while positioning themselves as controlling figures overseeing decisions,” Cuban argued during an interview aired recently through Jon Stewart’s show.
