The heartfelt message was accompanied by a poignant black-and-white image of Payne. “Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who cherished him,” it concluded.
Us Weekly reported that Payne passed away on Wednesday, October 16. The singer reportedly fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Emergency responders arrived at CasaSur Palermo hotel following reports about an “aggressive individual” possibly under the influence of substances. The hotel’s management noted that a loud sound was heard from an internal courtyard.

An investigation into Payne’s death is currently underway, with autopsy results pending. Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti stated on Thursday that the musician had sustained “severe injuries” that were beyond resuscitation efforts.
“Our team responded swiftly to provide medical assistance and attempt resuscitation; however, his injuries were incompatible with life,” he explained to La Nacion. “It appeared there was a cranial fracture along with other critical injuries leading to his immediate demise.”
Crescenti further elaborated, “There was nothing our team could do; resuscitation attempts were futile as it was confirmed he had already passed away due to extensive trauma.”
Liam gained fame as part of One Direction—a band formed through their participation in The X Factor UK back in 2010 when judges including Simon Cowell ,Nicole Scherzinger , among others chose to keep him along withHarry Styles ,Niall Horan ,Louis Tomlinson ,andZayn Malik .
