The Children’s Health Defense (CHD), an organization advocating‍ against vaccines and led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has once again been unsuccessful in its attempts to persuade a court that Meta functioned as a⁢ governmental entity while‌ regulating the group’s content on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

In ‍a ruling supporting⁢ an earlier decision, Judge Eric Miller of the US Ninth Circuit Court ⁣of Appeals stated that⁢ CHD ‍did not provide ‌sufficient evidence to demonstrate that Meta was acting on behalf of the government during ⁢its ⁢censorship practices. He emphasized that‌ Meta’s authority to restrict content deemed “offensive” is safeguarded by First⁢ Amendment rights, ultimately rejecting CHD’s ‍requests for both an ⁤injunction and financial damages.

“Evidently, Meta upholds the belief that vaccines are not only⁢ safe but should also ⁢be ⁣promoted,” Judge Miller noted ‌in his opinion.⁢ “The⁤ company retains the right to advocate for these views merely because they align‍ with those held by ‍government officials.”
